Some of the largest foundations in the country - Gates, Carnegie, Hewlett, Walmart - have just announced that they are combining forces and will be providing $506,000,000 this year to help expand innovative school - improvement projects.

Eligible to apply for the grants are "groups like school districts, or partnerships between the districts and nonprofit groups," which of course could include some of the FIHE Member States.
